The West Point Vol. Fire and Rescue Squad is currently seeking volunteers for several membership positions. Full members are assigned to a squad and run rescue squad duty about one night a week and every fifth weekend. Associate members must be available to run calls at least one weekday (Monday through Friday) during daytime hours. All members are required to attend a minimum number of drills as well as the monthly departmental meeting. Members are also required to obtain certain certifications, such as Emergency Vehicle Operation, CPR, EMT and Firefighter. Certification and drill requirements vary by type of membership.
